Prof. Sergio Cavalieri, University of Bergamo
Maintenance is playing a key role in the management of industrial assets, given the increasing role of automation and robotization of production systems. Thanks to the availability to I4.0 technologies, it is now possible to find on the market ICT based solutions which allow to prevent and mitigate the possible effects of breakdowns and degeneration of the performance of an industrial asset. However, the transition from a reactive to a predictive maintenance is not so trivial, but requires also organizational and managerial solutions. In a nutshell, it requires a change of perspective from a maintenance approach to an integrated asset management perspective. The webinar will shed light on the opportunities, challenges and solutions in supporting companies in moving from a reactive to a preventive strategy in managing their assets.
