Gianluca D’Urso is Full Professor in Technology and Manufacturing Systems at the University of Bergamo – Department of Management, Information and Production Engineering. He is currently Delegate of the Rector for Applied Research, President of the Scientific Board of the Consortium Intellimech, Member of the board of Digital Innovation Hub Bergamo and Member of the teaching board of the PhD School in Technology, Innovation and Management (TIM).
His main research topics concern conventional and unconventional manufacturing technologies, Additive Manufacturing, simulation techniques applied to manufacturing processes, analytical and numerical models for process optimization.
